Definition: it is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal.

Mohammed Aly Clay:

First of all, it was a good adventure for me to take course called leadership, as I was not believing about this course, until I studied. My instructor asked me to write about Mohammed Aly Clay in my way and show the positive things he did, and negative things. In this assignment, I learned that anyone can take any decision he wants, except when you think about decision that may kill your memories and become forgettable.

Reflection: the aim of this assignment was good, as I learned new stuff about leadership, which may be general for me, but specific in my career path. Now I can say that there is always right and wrong decision that always affect the real situation, in Mohammed Aly Clay story, I found that he chose to fight again, when his age was not suitable for that, but to show to the whole world that Mohammed Aly Clay is still the same person.

Difference between Leader & Manager:

During this semester, my instructor was concentrating about the differences between manager and leader in workplace, and how these differences can change the situation of the company. Manager is the one who asking for finishing the work perfectly, while leader is the one who asking for finishing the work as much as you can. In fact, manager is only looking for profit of the company, while leader is looking to satisfaction of all situation, especially, for employees.

Reflection: the aim of this assignment is very important. Now I know the difference between manager and leader, and how to apply the difference concepts between them in the right time. anyone can be manager, if he works hard and thinks about future, but being leader is a gift from God that can’t be found in all people to have an equilibrium life.

upbringing and leadership traits:

Introduction: of course, for any course you study there are different strategies, depend on the value of this course. For leadership course, there is a chapter called leadership strategies, as it classified the strategies used by older leaders, and how scientist developing these strategies to be used in the correct way. one example about these strategies is talking from your heart. As leader should give a speech to people under him, so if his words were not true, people will never feel safe with him. 

reflection: the aim of this assignment was to show what are leadership strategies and how student should deal with them in a proper way. these strategies are the influence, encourage and engage the excellent performance for any leader. after this assignment, I was able to decide the best strategies of leadership and try to apply it in my real life. 

Group Presentation “Creating A Vision”:

For the first time to me, I assigned to create a group of students to present a presentation about one leader, and it was a new work for me to work with other students for a purpose. My instructor asked us to create a group and choose the best one to lead this group, then prepare power point slides on a specific leader, and mention his leadership style and traits. I gathered with my friends after the class and decide the leader who will be taken into our study. The idea of the work was good enough to help all of us understanding the role of leader towards his/her group.

Reflection:

This work helped me to present my values and skills under the teamwork field, as it managed the possibilities of working as a group and showed how good were as, according to the aim of the assignment. Also, it gave us a new lesson towards the idea of group, in which how leader could lead the members towards a value goal without facing troubles or barriers that may stop him/her. Finally, it was a pleasure for me to lead my group to success, as it was the first time to handle any work related to group work.
